Blood can be donated in four different ways:&nbsp;Donation of whole blood&nbsp;&nbsp;This is the most common and traditional method of blood donation. A unit of blood is drawn&nbsp; from the donor, which contains red and white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. Whole blood&nbsp; can be used in its original form, or these components can be separated to help patients with&nbsp; specific requirements. It can be donated every 56 days, up to 6 times a year.&nbsp;Platelets donation&nbsp;Platelets are tiny cells present in your blood that form clots and stop&nbsp; bleeding. Platelets are more often required for cancer and chronic disease&nbsp; patients. It is also used for clotting injuries. An apheresis machine collects&nbsp; platelets along with some plasma from your donated blood. It takes about&nbsp; five units of blood to make a single transfusable unit of platelets, whereas an&nbsp; on-time donation of platelets can develop several transfusable units in the&nbsp; body. It can be donated every 7 days, up to 24 times.&nbsp;Plasma donation&nbsp;&nbsp;Plasma is the liquid component of the blood that transports nutrients and water&nbsp; to the tissue present in our body. Plasma donation can be stored and used for up to 1 year and&nbsp; is used for burn victims and patients with bleeding disorders. It can be donated every 28 days,&nbsp; up to 13 times a year.&nbsp;Donation of power red cells&nbsp;Red cells are the main components in our blood. In this type of donation, only red cells are&nbsp; collected from the blood, leaving other components. Red blood cells can be stored and used&nbsp; for up to 42 days only. It can be donated every 112 days, up to 3 times a year. The&nbsp; hemoglobin present in the donor's blood must be 13.3.&nbsp;&nbsp;<h2> What are you waiting for?
